PAST EXCHANGES
Drawing on her connections with Rotary International, TEOE member Rebecca Wilks initiated an Exchange with Guatemala native Rony Mejia, who invited fellow photographer Javier Alvarez-Vassaux to join him on the Arizona leg of the Exchange. They were hosted by Rebecca and TEOE member Geoff Reed in March 2019, who were in tum hosted by the Guatemalans in November 2019.
The resulting 80-print photographic collection was exhibited widely throughout the Phoenix Metro area: ASU Gammage Auditorium, Tempe (Mar-Jun 2020), Gallery 4, Gilbert (Dec 2020- Feb 2021), Burton Barr Central Library, Phoenix (Jul-Oct 2022), and Paradise Valley Community College (Oct-Dec 2022).
